Title: Twinkle Toes
Characters: John, Abby, Mrs Hudson, Sherlock, Sarah
Rating: G
Warnings/Triggers: none
Spoilers: none
Pairings: John/Sarah
Word Count 3,670
Summary: Abby's dance camp is having a family day. John and Mrs Hudson show up to be proud, but it remains to be seen whether Uncle Sherlock is going to join them.

Author's notes: Set in the Abby 'verse.

A visitor to my journal (I don't know how to link to Google+ users, sorry!) mentioned she'd liked to see an 'Abby's first dance recital' fic. Inspired by some of my memories of summer dance camp when I was little. It also gave me a chance to do more with Mrs Hudson in this 'verse. Short and fluffy.

Instead of just the improperly mental you are now? )

Title: A Study in Prying
Characters: Q, Mycroft, Sherlock, Old Q, some Q-branch minions
Rating: PG
Warnings/Triggers: none
Spoilers: A Study in Pink
Pairings: none
Word Count 2, 418
Summary: Trevelyan does some prying at Mycroft's behest, and finds out it's a little more personal than he was told.
Author's notes:Set in the Trio 'verse A short little fic that I randomly finished last night (for some reason I had left it with one paragraph to go, so I went 'hey, I should probably write that paragraph'). Set during A Study in Pink. I wanted to do something in the Trio verse during Series 1, as I hadn't covered any of that yet.

Q is not Q yet, and is therefore called 'Trevelyan' throughout. However, Old Q is also there, and is called Q throughout. I realized this may be troublesome, but I couldn't figure out a better way to do it. I picture Old Q being Scottish, if that's helpful to anyone's mental images.

Much of John's backstory is speculation on my part.

Don't you have people whom you pay who could do this for you? )

Title: Setting a Precedent
Characters: Sherlock, Abby, Gladstone, John
Rating: G
Warnings/Triggers: none
Spoilers: none
Pairings: none
Word Count 3,012
Summary: Sherlock keeps Abby busy so John can finish a column, and does his best to answer her questions about fish, belly buttons, mermaids, and the moon.
Author's notes: Set in the Abby 'verse.

According to the timeline I had to make to stop confusing myself, Abby Watson was born on April 20, 2015. So, in honour of this, have the fluffiest of fluff. This stemmed entirely out of a random snippet of conversation I had in my head between Sherlock and Abby, which I tried to work into three or four different fics, before just letting it run wild on its own and seeing what happened. Which is fluff. Fluffy fluff. I was also inspired by a few tumblr and reddit posts involving questions and kids. I thought Sherlock would be good with fielding those sorts of questions.

Overall, Sherlock found childcare very up and down. )

Title: Visit (Mrs Hudson
Characters: Mrs Hudson, John, Jasmine (OC), dæmons
Rating: PG
Warnings/Triggers: some mild sexual content (discussion of romance novels), depression, wounds
Spoilers: References to all three Series.
Pairings: none
Word Count 3,255
Summary: Mrs Hudson finally makes it into the hospital to visit John, just in time to provide a little bit of comfort.
Author's notes: Fourth part of the Visit Series following after Sherlock, Molly, and Lestrade's visits.

The 'music' Jasmine plays for John is this sort of thing. Music with binaural beats and a certain number of hertz is believed to help with pain relief.

Knowledge of His Dark Materials is not required. All that's necessary to know is that, in this world, humans' souls live outside of their bodies in the form of animals. There's an excellent primer here.

For reference: Subira (a dwarf mongoose), Carwyn (a raven), Benvolio (a river otter).

Spoilers: none
Pairings: none
Word Count 3,879
Summary: Lestrade sets about cheering up a glum John in the hospital.
Author's notes: Third part of the Visit Series following after Sherlock and Molly's visits.

Title: Promise Kept
Characters: John, Sherlock, Amy Pond, Rory
Pairings: implied Amy/Rory
Fandom and/or Prompt: Sherlock/Doctor Who
Rating: PG
Spoilers: None
Warnings/triggers: a character with a broken leg near the end
Word count: 1288
Summary: John and Sherlock are helped out of a sticky situation by some people who seem to know Sherlock very well--who may or may not be imaginary and may or may not travel in time.
Author's Notes: Written for [livejournal.com profile] consci_fan_mo

Just a little Wholock, adapted from something else much longer that didn't work and sat around in my folders for ages, so I've shortened it up to make it more concise for the Month and it works much better this way, I think.

Someone had just ruffled Sherlock Holmes' hair. )

Title: Shiny Shoes and Microscopes
Characters: John, Sherlock, Abby, Sarah, Gladstone
Rating: PG
Warnings/Triggers: swearing, a bit of family drama, fluffy-fluffness
Spoilers: none
Pairings: John/Sarah
Word Count 5,946
Summary: In the midst of a somewhat stressful Christmas, John finds Christmas morning with his family and Sherlock a pleasant affair.
Author's notes: Set in the Abby 'verse.

Yay, I managed to write everything I wanted to before the end of the holiday season. Happy Christmas to everyone who celebrated, I hope you had a lovely time, and for those who didn't, I hope you still got a chance to rest and relax.

I think 'Happy Christmas' is the traditional greeting. )

Title: The Teacher's Wife
Characters: Molly, Alec, Josh, Reed, Rupert, Sherlock
Rating: G
Warnings/Triggers: Just fluff, really
Spoilers: none
Pairings: Molly/Alec, Josh/Rupert
Word Count 3,824
Summary: Molly attends her first school Nativity play as the wife of a teacher.
Author's notes: Set in the Abby 'verse.

A lot of the time I have story ideas for Molly and Alec, but when I write them they just sort of head into a territory of 'happy, but not really having a point'. But I thought that sort of story might be okay around the holidays, so here's a fluffy story about Alec and Molly being cute and happy.

The Drezeler-Jones family have previously appeared in "40 MPH" and the wedding fic, which can be found in the bottom section of the link above if you need a refresher on the massive collection of OCs I have.

Excellent, learny is exactly the atmosphere I was going for. )

Title: Visit (Molly)
Characters: Molly, John, Sherlock, Jasmine (OC), daemons
Rating: R
Warnings/Triggers: recovery from a serious wound, a nosebleed, swearing,
Spoilers: none
Pairings: none
Word Count 2, 690
Summary: Molly brings a bit of gossip to John in hospital and helps him take a walk, while Sherlock acts a little more like himself.
Author's notes: Second part of the Visit Series (I think it's going to be a series now) following after Sherlock's visit.

Taking a bit of a break from my epic Holiday ficcing to clean this up and post it.

Knowledge of His Dark Materials is not required. All that's necessary to know is that, in this world, humans' souls live outside of their bodies in the form of animals. There's an excellent primer here.

For reference: Subira (a dwarf mongoose), Tzophiya (a grey lourie), Duinn (a Japanese flying squirrel), Benvolio (a river otter).

Title: Visit
Characters: John, Sherlock, Jasmine (OC), daemons
Rating: PG
Warnings/Triggers: recovery from a serious wound, mentions of PTSD symptoms
Spoilers: none
Pairings: none
Word Count 2, 565
Summary: As John and Subira do their physio to aid recovery from John's gunshot wound, Sherlock and Tzophiya drop in to be semi-comforting.
Author's notes: Follows directly after Vigil.

This is tentatively part one of a short series of oneshots of John's recovery in hospital as his friends visit and help him recover. I have a few others mapped out, so we'll see how it goes. It also stands on it's own, so there won't be any cliffhangers either way.

Knowledge of His Dark Materials is not required. All that's necessary to know is that, in this world, humans' souls live outside of their bodies in the form of animals. There's an excellent primer here.

Sherlock's not a witch. )
awanderingbard: (SHERLOCK: Trio)
Title: The Thought that Counts
Characters: Q, Efimia, Sherlock, Tzophiya, misc background people and daemons
Rating: PG
Warnings/Triggers: references to drug use and addiction
Spoilers:none
Pairings: none
Word Count 3,767
Summary: Trevelyan gets a break from preparing for his thesis defense by the rather unusual phenomenon of his brother wanting to celebrate his birthday.
Author's notes: I started this to get an idea of how Efi moved and spoke for a different fic, and it turned into an actual fic, so here we are. Makes references to a character from Inspector Lewis, but no knowledge is required, and technically the references are so vague, you could make him a separate, unrelated character easily. But still, that technically makes this a triple crossover daemon au of an au. Take that, space time continuum! This, if it were part of the main Trio verse, would take place about 6-7 months post-"Big Brother Instincts". Trevelyan would just be twenty-four, and Sherlock around twenty-seven. Also makes some references to the canon story 'The Adventure of the Gloria Scott'.

Knowledge of His Dark Materials is not required. All that's necessary to know is that, in this world, humans' souls live outside of their bodies in the form of animals. There's an excellent primer here.

For reference: Efimia (a degu), Tzophiya (a grey lourie), Suman (a Clark's Nutcracker), and Ismini (a mountain weasel).

So, you're ringing to wish me a 'Happy Life Ruining Day'? )

Title: Paint Fumes
Characters: Sarah, John, Sherlock, Abby, Gladstone
Rating: PG
Warnings/Triggers: some discussion of an alcoholic relative
Spoilers: none
Pairings: John/Sarah
Word Count 5,323
Summary: The Watson Household is infiltrated by a distressed Consulting Detective for the night.
Author's notes: Set in the Abby 'verse.

A very lovely person sent me a very lovely PM over at ff.net, in regards to my stories here, and mentioned wanting to see a typical evening at the Sawyer-Watsons (possibly with Sherlock involved), and Sarah and Sherlock interacting with one another. It was similar to, but a much better idea than the one I was struggling with at the time, so I crammed the two concepts together and wrote this. I hope it serves.

Needless to say, this is fluff of the higest order.

Poor Sherlock. He's had all his toys taken away. )

Title: Tea and Sympathy
Characters: Lestrade, Sherlock, Mycroft
Rating: PG-13
Warnings/Triggers: references to past drug use and current struggles, quite a lot of dental related pain and procedures, some blood, references to a dead parent and how he died, references to past case-related domestic abuse, swearing
Spoilers: none
Pairings: Lestrade/his wife (background)
Word Count 4,237
Summary: Lestrade always takes in waifs that show up at his door in the middle of the night, even consulting detectives recovering from dental surgery.
Author's notes: As a writer, I take all opportunites to exploit life experiences and, in this case, it is my mother who graciously allowed me to use her recent dental surgery as inspiration. Thankfully, it was not nearly so intense as the one I've given Sherlock.

This is set pre-canon, by about five years, at the beginning of Lestrade and Sherlock's working relationship.

I will warn for a lot of dental stuff going on here. I do this because dental stuff is the one area of medicine I find a bit icky.

What did he use, a sledgehammer? )

Title: Computers
Characters: Siger, Trevelyan
Rating: PG
Warnings/Triggers: none
Pairings: Siger/Dora
Spoilers: none
Word Count 2,589 words
Summary: Siger and Trevelyan spend some time together--without a certain older brother there to interfere.
Author's notes: Set in the Trio 'verse.

Part three of the 'Siger + small Holmes brother' trio, Trevelyan's turn. Mycroft and Siger are here, and Sherlock and Siger are here.

FYI, an ambylopia patch from the era in which Trevelyan (and I) had to wear them looked like this.

I feel like I should say that Siger's views on religion do not necessarily reflect my own.

Trevelyan spun in a circle, as though he were overwhelmed with the Sherlock-free possibilities that lay before him. )

Title: Crabs
Characters: Siger, Sherlock, Dora
Rating: G
Warnings/Triggers: none
Pairings: Siger/Dora
Spoilers: none
Word Count 1,979
Summary: Sherlock and Siger make friends with an inhabitant at the beach house.
Author's notes: Set in the Trio 'verse.

Part two of the 'Siger + small Holmes brother' trio, Sherlock and Siger this time. Mycroft and Siger are here.

I'll get the encyclopaedia. )

Title: Codes
Characters: Siger, Mycroft, Grandfather
Rating: PG
Warnings/Triggers: a domestic abuse situation
Pairings: Siger/Dora
Spoilers: none
Word Count 2,302
Summary: A crisis at home causes Siger to take Mycroft to London on the train to stay with his in-laws, and he passes on some important knowledge along the way.
Author's notes: Set in the Trio 'verse.

I had this idea as I was falling asleep one night of contrasting the three brothers at the same age, and so I started writing a fic meant to be in three sections, and ended up writing three fics. I decided to place them at age three, since three is obviously an important number in this verse, and when children really start to be able to voice their thoughts and personalities.

It ended up being quite a similar set of stories to the 'What if?' series, and the 'C' theme of that fit these as well, so feel free to consider them in the same universe.

Siger is a bit flippant in this, and I want to make it clear that I don't take domestic abuse lightly. Nor does he, really. He's just very much a Holmes.

I like to look at things that are not trees. )

Title: The Nail that Sticks Out
Characters: John, Sherlock, Abby, Sarah
Rating: G
Warnings/Triggers: a veiled implication of past bullying
Spoilers: none
Pairings: John/Sarah
Word Count 4,115
Summary: Abby starts preschool, despite Sherlock's feelings on the subject.
Author's notes: Set in the Abby 'verse.

So, this story is not the story I set out to write, but Sherlock suddenly hijacked it and had, like, feelings, so I just let it go where it wanted.

I think we're at the point where all the stories I've been writing get finished at the same time. Sorry about that.

Someone went to public school. )

Title: The Affair of the Ladybird
Characters: Sherlock, Molly
Rating: PG
Warnings/Triggers: references to a dead parent
Spoilers: none, but set during The Sign of Three
Pairings: John/Mary, Molly/Tom (both background)
Word Count 2,471
Summary: Molly loses something important, and Sherlock decides to get it back for her.
Author's notes: My word fairy seems much happier of late! This story was born out of a meme idea, which [livejournal.com profile] frozen_delight requested that I flesh out, and I was happy to oblige. It's a bit short, but I hope you enjoy!

No, he would have to probe deeper. He did want to? No. But it would bug him if he didn't.  )
awanderingbard: (SHERLOCK: Sherlock cameo)
Title: Vigil
Characters: Sherlock, Molly, Lestrade, John, Mycroft, daemons
Rating: R
Warnings/Triggers: gunshot wounds, references to lots of blood in a past tense, references to dead parents, bittersweet, a bit angsty
Spoilers:none
Pairings: none
Word Count 3,767
Summary: Sherlock waits for John to live or die, and learns what it's like to be the one waiting instead of the one being waited for.
Author's notes: Sorry about the flurry of daemons stuff of late, I sometimes get in a daemonic mood. I started writing this before Series Three, and so I'm just going to say it's alternate to that, as the stories in this verse are already out of synch with the regular canon. Follows and makes references to Clouds and Ashes.

Knowledge of His Dark Materials is not required. All that's necessary to know is that, in this world, humans' souls live outside of their bodies in the form of animals. There's an excellent primer here.

For reference: Subira (a dwarf mongoose), Tzophiya (a Grey Lourie), Hisoka (a Pallas's Cat), Duinn (a Japanese Flying Squirrel), and Leala (an otterhound).

His heart isn't very big, he's not sure if it can take quite the amount of damage it's been dealt lately. )

Title: Luna Di Miele
Characters: Molly, Alec, Sherlock, John,
Rating: PG
Warnings/Triggers: innuendo and much reference to sexytimes, references to dead monks and skeletons (no descriptions), fragrantly phonetic, but hopefully accurate Italian
Spoilers: none
Pairings: Molly/Alec
Word Count 5,851
Summary: Molly and Alec go on their honeymoon.
Author's notes: Set in the Abby 'verse. Probably concurrent to "Domestic Science".

Well, my word fairy decided she could handle some fluff, and so this is what we have. Fluff. So much fluff. I seem to have given Molly the life of a heroine in a romantic comedy. I regret nothing!

I have done my best to portray Sicily and Palermo accurately, but I suspect I may have shrunk it down a little for faster walking times.

I think our bedroom is in a tower... )
