I actually think the line fit in quite nicely with the test of the fic. I just also felt like there could be more said about it, too. It's a good line; I'm glad it survived the draft-making process. :D

I wonder sometimes what kind of personality Sherlock is going to fall into during the three years away from John. Perhaps that musing inspired my thought process a bit.
