Yeah... I dunno

I feel like there needs to be a crack Sherlock/The Great Mouse Detective crossover fic where modern!Basil is incensed that people believe Sherlock is a fake and he and Dawson decide to prove his innocence and leave little hints for John to find.

...this is why it was a mistake giving me an imagination. I don't do anything useful with it.

I feel like I ran across a Sherlock/The Great Mouse Detective crossover fic at some point. But it definitely didn't have this hilariously awesome plot you just threw out!

maybe I'm missing something, but I think that's a good idea.
(granted, I'm also relishing reading the scene where Sherlock confronts the "logical" impossibility of a talking mouse) *eg*

Okay, so about a month ago I re-watched that movie and had a very similar thought! It's totally adorable--and believable, too! I can completely buy that Sherlock's 221B might have a little, er, mouse problem, with all the stuff they have lying around. And of course Basil wouldn't stand for Sherlock's name to be tarnished! Maybe they could have witnessed the cameras being put up, too. :)
