“There's nothing I can do about it, Sherlock, you're on his side of the bed.”
Heeee, there’s really not anything anybody can do, Sherlock. (I’m a cat owner; I know these things.) :D
Sherlock had a tendency to make every space he was in feel like it belonged to him and that anyone else was just a guest passing through.
Definitely.
Holy crap, that stuff about Sherlock not being able to distinguish character from actor makes so much freakin’ sense, but at the same time it seems like such a novel idea. *bows down* Perfect reason why he can’t properly disengage and enjoy the TV. And another thing that makes perfect sense but I hadn’t thought of before—that Mycroft is the one who drives Sherlock to his grave to watch John and Mrs. Hudson. Because Sherlock is wearing his coat and surely he would have to be in disguise, but if he’s with Mycroft, Mycroft will make sure he’s not seen so Sherlock might as well dress like himself. You are brilliant.
God, this story was so beautiful. I literally have tears in my eyes right now. I was so ridiculously touched when Sherlock said Molly was his friend in such a matter-of-fact way. The first story, “The Parting of Ways,” made me really want to give Sherlock a big hug. This one makes me want to hug both Sherlock and Molly. And while your grasp on Sherlock is simply incredible, I love Molly here. Her flashes of anger and correcting Sherlock and standing up for herself when she knows she’s right are superb. But at the same time she’s not judgmental with Sherlock, calmly explaining what a spin-off is and what a prequel is without making fun of him (like I think John would have).
I just…want this to happen in canon so, so much. Everything about their relationship is perfect. Thank you.
