Huh

It turns out that picking an engagement ring for a fictional character is just like picking out one in real life. Once you find the right one, no matter how many other rings you look at, they will never be the right one because they are not the right one.

...I sometimes think I'm too emotionally invested in my characters...

Well of course if you've found the right one, no other will do and I don't think it matters if it's for a character or not!

I've not done the ring thing, but I did go to a car dealership to look over a car in person, that I had no intention of buying, because I wanted to see if it fit a certain character (it did). If I'd been able to take it for a test drive, I would have done. Then there's the hours I've spent looking for clothes and other stuff too and me looking up certain buildings for sale in Cardiff that had nothing to do with anyone else's reason for being there.

I always feel comforted that whenever I post these sorts of things, everyone says 'me too!' instead of 'freak!'. It's nice to know I'm in good company. ;-)
