All evening he kept waiting to be bored, but he wasn't. She wouldn't let him be.

This is so romantic in a kind of understated way. That and how Siger wasn’t bored at the party and didn’t even notice when he stayed past his required time. It’s wonderful to see the little touches of both Mycroft and Sherlock (and Trevelyan) in them, how they could have created their sons.

He was curious without any self-limits, and the moment no one was watching him, he immediately tried to kill himself.

Oh, God. Yup, that’s accurate.

I adore all the little moments in this: Siger tickling Sherlock with his foot, Sherlock declaring both Trevelyan and the spelling of words boring, and the engagement was by far the best, so perfect. This backstory suits the characters so well and was lovely to read!
