Finally, finally I got round to reading this. I've been looking forward to it so much. And now that I've read it, I can safely say that I was perfectly right to be hoping for a treat. Because that's what it is.
As ever, your Molly is the best thing imaginable and her interactions with Sherlock are really lovely.

“I have never dreamed of being a princess,” Sherlock said.
Can we print that on a t-shirt, please? It's priceless.

Sherlock's head shot up to look at her, and he had that lost little boy look, when he wasn't sure what he'd done wrong—or realized he'd done wrong, but hadn't meant to. “I don't think of you like that,” he said.
Awww, my heart, this is beautiful.

I really liked Molly's explanation of what things were like for her when he was gone and when he came back. And then there's this gorgeous passage which shows that Sherlock can relate really well to her experiences - although he denies it a second later:
Sherlock's face had softened quite a bit while she was talking. He gave a slow nod. “I suppose it's similar to someone good thinking you can be good,” he said. “And you think you might be better, if that person believes in you.” He shifted in his seat, suddenly embarrassed, as though he hadn't meant to say that. “I assume.”
Perfect.

And then there's this piece of dialogue which is incredibly moving and just so flawless that I really wish we'd seen it happen on screen:
Sherlock's face had softened quite a bit while she was talking. He gave a slow nod. “I suppose it's similar to someone good thinking you can be good,” he said. “And you think you might be better, if that person believes in you.” He shifted in his seat, suddenly embarrassed, as though he hadn't meant to say that. “I assume.”
Bravo!

Thanks so much for writing and sharing this, it's been a true pleasure to read.
