He just somehow doesn't click with Sherlock the way John does, but he's not jealous.

I figure Lestrade mostly just breezes through life with a sort of shrugging attitude. He don't get bent out of shape about much, which makes him good for working with Sherlock. I love that when Sherlock comes back from the dead, there's barely any shock. It's just 'yay, you're home, please don't go away again'.
