Trevelyan sighed, and Sherlock shot Mycroft a conspiratorial look of amusement at the inside joke. Then Sherlock remembered that he didn't like Mycroft, and the petulant look returned.
!!! The gypsy joke never gets old. I agree with Mycroft that the moment is a little breakthrough in their relationship, though. :)
I've had Fraters Medio and Minor around, but I do like it when the full set are here.
Me, too! I love to see the trio together.
Trevelyan was very careful around Sherlock, and Sherlock was unkind to him in a way that Trevelyan seemed to find comforting, or take as a sign of affection.
This is lovely. And it’s wonderful that Sherlock does recognize that Trevelyan needs him as a big brother, but he feels insecure about that role.
Poor Mycroft, so caught up with his own work and losing weight but trying to step into the role his father left behind for his brothers. The pressure must be so immense, but he handles it with such grace. And Trevelyan as the peacekeeper—Mycroft’s right, the idea of Sherlock as peacekeeper is quite laughable.
As always, your OCs are so fully realized and engaging. It’s wonderful to see more of the family. The combined puzzle-solving was such a nice touch: I think Siger would have approved. (Lysander’s my favorite, of course, because anyone who can keep Sherlock entertained has my undying love.)
