Hmmm, that does make sense. I have never been drunk, so I don't know sort of if people go to a default drunk persona (my brother gets super lovey and stupid, Ama just giggles and falls down), or if the persona you take on depends on your mood.
When I wrote John's daemon while he was narcotized, she was just sort of bumping into things and stupid. I felt like the effects are magnified by the daemon, because while you're struggling to appear fine, the daemon is more evident of what you're actually like. So, you're pretending not to be drunk, but your daemon is giggling and rolling around on the floor. In my AUs, daemons sort of reflect what you're trying to hide. I think I mentioned that John finds you can diagnose people by their daemons, because they're not trying to be tough.
Maybe Pepper knows when Tony's had enough when Mim starts to fly into things.
