I think you've always rather excelled at plots. Perhaps you're just starting to believe it! Belief is good fuel for writing.

And hee! Ah, word counts. The first book I ever tried to write, I started when I was twelve, and I agonized over getting each chapter to at least 1,000 words. Nowadays, 5,000 words sometimes breeze past me, and I'm like, "WHAT!? THE CHARACTERS ONLY WENT OUT TO EAT A SANDWICH. HOW DID THIS HAPPEN I DON'T UNDERSTAND."

Those are the good days, of course.

And of course people enjoy letting you take their time. Tay time is good time.
