I really like your Maria Stark, and of course Jarvis remains full of win.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed them.
I can easily imagine him older but still very much the same, with little sighs and an occasional tug on the ear and that very expressive face (sometimes trying very hard not to express things).
For some reason, I have no trouble aging James D'arcy up in my head either. I feel like I know exactly what Jarvis looks like at this age, even though I often have trouble aging up established characters. I remember when I was writing my Trio AUs where Siger lived, the one with Mycroft was incredibly hard to write because I had so much trouble picturing Siger old enough to be a father to a son who was at the age Siger was in my head still. I ended up having to mentally cast an actor so I could figure out how to make him talk and move in my brain theatre.
At least we know what Howard looks like at this age, though I still have trouble putting Dominic Cooper and John Slattery together.
I like the detail about the ring. I take off my rings just to type. There aren't a lot of rings that would work well with latex gloves when things are dangerous and one needs to be sure the glove isn't stretched or punctured.
My mum has a very specifically designed ring that keeps the diamond really far set in down in the setting and protected so she could work as a nurse without scratching or puncturing or getting goop stuck in it. I've never seen another ring like hers, actually. But I didn't think Maria Stark would have had the luxury of choosing something small and discreet.
It's also fun to see proto-JARVIS!
:-D I'd like to think Tony used some of B.O.B's recordings to help design JARVIS' voice.
