I'm sure there were terrible screams of unfairness on the day she settled.
Issie: I'm small, aren't I? Steve: Well...you're not...not that small...? Issie: *purposefully walking away* Let's go find a normal sized human and be sure.
I also, randomly, have a headcanon that Mim settled while inside an engine and got stuck there because she was being a much smaller hummingbird, and Tony had to dismantle the whole thing before he could even find out what form she'd ended up as.
I love the image of Hesper pretending to be a hair accessory. It's quite a nice way of picturing how daemons sit with their humans.
I picture that when Haddie and Jarvis first came into the shop, Anna was at the desk, with Hesper in her hair, and then, when they saw there were customers, Anna straightened herself up and Hesper started fluttering around the very nice tie Anna was hoping to sell.
Hesper: *Hungarian sales patter* Haddie: Erm, yes, szia to you...as well... Hesper: *Hungarian questions* Haddie: Right. Yes. I'm terribly sorry, I don't really speak...Edwin, this is a lovely tie...
I'm rather tempted to do a set as well now. It really is a good character building exercise!
'Tis! It helped me get a better read on Eitana and Hesper especially.
