Pets can be such a blessing and a comfort, but then losing them is so much pain!

Definitely. We were all very attached to her, I think even more because we've all been through so much and she was such a naturally happy and optimistic and loving dog that she helped us all through it. We've all kind of had the dogs that hit us the hardest due to them being around at a time we needed them (Fergus for my Mom, Randy for my brother, Shilling for my dad, and Puzzle for me), but Ascii was really close to everyone, instead of just latching on to one person. So we've all found it hard (even my brother was upset and he's never lived here when she did) but we're doing okay.
