Ah, yes: that is like us. We've got a different omicron variant dominating. They said they're close enough that the omicron booster will be helpful, but they also said months ago not to wait for that booster if you could get another, just as they're telling you. So we had our last booster in June. We now have the omicron booster both approved and available here,. Some officials are saying it's best to wait four months before another booster, so we'll get our omicron in October.

We've handled vaccines so badly in Florida I'm a little surprised that your province is doing even worse—but our federal government poured tons of money into developing and distributing the omicron vaccine, so it makes sense that it's more readily available here. We're the 800 pound gorilla on this continent.

I find it stunning that 2 1/2 years in, our governments cannot get it fully together to make things available and make the guidance clear and consistent!
