Dude, crack is the best part. You're talking to the girl who made Butters reinact Wash's monologue with organs. *actually reads fic now* Heeeeee! I love this! Very entertaining and Bobish and Serenityish. Adored the bits of perv!Bob showing up, and River and Bob were actually... rather well connected. If Bob ends up surviving past Harry, I think he'd get along well with River, or the Doctor, people of that ilk. Slightly crazy but mostly just on a higher plane than anyone else. I love how even though this is mostly crack, you made it really mean something with that last line of River's. Families aren't necessarily defined by blood ties, as Serenity itself so clearly proves, and you did a great job of weaving that in without making the piece too solemn (because let's face it, a Dresden Files/Firefly crossover cannot be solemn). One tiny nitpick, mentioned only because it's a pet peeve: “Ewww, Inara, where’dja get that?” A very energetic girl squealed should not have that "a" capitalized. Since the sentence is a continuation of the dialogue itself, defining who said it and what's going on while it's being said, it shouldn't be capitailzed as if it were a different sentence, regardless of what punctuation ends the dialogue. Okay, this comment is entering teal deer regions, so I'll just finish by saying that you should post this on df_crossovers and The Archive, 'cause I know a lot more people who'd be thrilled to read it.
