Funny you should mention lack of parental discipline. On my subway ride back today from studying, this woman had her daughter in a stroller who kept crying when the mother refused to give her candy. So after letting the kid scream (like ear-piercing) for five minutes, she'd give her candy. Rinse and repeat. Yeah, good strategy.
