Requesty Thing - Redux

Let's try this again, since it didn't go so well as I hoped. I'm choosing even more not obscure of my not obscure music. :P

Below are song lyrics. Guess the song and the artist correctly and I will write a fic for you or make icons/wallpaper/a header for you, of your choice. One song per person.

1. I've fallen in love for the first time / in love with world that's real
"I Want to Break Free" by Queen, found by [livejournal.com profile] guardian_chaos

2. I'm back to where I started / I'm chasing after you
"Hanging By a Moment" by Lifehouse, found by [livejournal.com profile] lifeinsomniac

3. In the rain the pavement shines like silver / All the lights are misty in the river
"On My Own" from Les Miserables, found by [livejournal.com profile] _medley_

4. I've seen angels fall from blinding heights / And you yourself are nothing so divine
"You Know My Name" by Chris Cornell, found by [livejournal.com profile] wylt

5. Who says that every wish would be heard and answered / when wished on the morning star?
"The Rainbow Connection" by Kermit the Frog, found by [livejournal.com profile] tigerkat24

6. There's a light at the end of this tunnel you shout / 'Cause you're just as far in as you'll ever be out
"Breathe (2 A.M)" by Anna Nalick, found by [livejournal.com profile] featherjean

You're lucky! My library didn't have any of the books. I had to get them from Amazon, since my bookstore always seemed to be out of copies of the ones I needed. I finished Proven Guilty last week and I can't afford to buy White Nights yet. I checked in the computer system at my library to see if they have it and they do - the only Jim Butcher book they have, but it's at a library so far away, it'd be easier just to buy the book. They're addictive, those books. I've lent them to my friend, Ama, and she has been lending them out people at her work. She's very good at getting people interested. I think she has single handedly converted at least twenty people to Firefly. Of course, I was the one who got her interested in it in the first place. :-)

Enjoy your reading! (Wow, just as I finished typing this, my computer crashed. That was about three hours ago, I come back, Firefox restores my sessions and my comment is here, all ready to go. Way to be Firefox!)
