Quick Sherlock Question

Anyone have any thoughts on whether Molly is a Miss Hooper or a Dr. Hooper? I'm assuming her official job (other than being the butt of all jokes) is an ME? Does that sound right? I've never actually seen her do anything other than stand around and stare adoringly at Sherlock, so I don't know for sure. Does she do autopsies or just, I don't know, corral bodies?

There was a big discussion on her on one of the bbc comms a while back. Of course I can't find it now though, sorry. But since she didn't go to the crime scene the consensus was she wasn't probably a doctor of any sort.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b018ttws/characters/molly-hooper says she's just a lab tech though

When I was writing my fic where John became a medical examiner this helped me, it might help you figure out Molly's position: http://www.met.police.uk/scd/specialist_units/forensic_services.htm

Ah, so body corraller is probably closer to the truth, then.

These comms seem like useful places, but I'm so afraid of the wank associated with bigger fandoms that I tend to stay away. Sherlock especially with the hardcore slashers seems like it could get volatile very fast.

Thanks for your answer!

The comms can be a bit scary, although, overall, Sherlock isn't terribly wanky.

Some good tags for perusing though are

and any of the other "facts" tags over at that comm (there are lots- military, medicine, life in the UK, etc)
