I've never been sure if Mim can speak to JARVIS directly, as in he can hear and respond to her voice. It seems like it would be taboo. So I thought Mim communicates via some sort of movement detection, and the H.A.D.D.I.E interface just basically allows her to see what's up while she's in the suit, and maybe makes it less weird for her to interact with it. Because J.A.R.V.I.S is sort of a person, and it's weird to interact with a person who isn't Tony.
