Time for more of Taylor's Weird and Wonderful Questions about Stuff!

Does anyone know when the height restrictions were dropped from the Chicago Police officer requirements? I know that they don't have them anymore, I know that they used to be 5 8" for a male and 5 4" for a female, but I haven't be able to find out the year they were dropped. My Google-fu has failed me! So, I thought I'd put this out here in case there's anyone who knows or knows someone who might know.

Good thing it was dropped! I'd pity the poor administrator that tried to tell Murphy she couldn't be a cop. XD

Indeed on both accounts. It's 1975 when the requirements were dropped by the way. Would that have affected Murphy's ambitions? Do we know (or have a guess) what year she was born?

Murph was 27-29 in SF, which took place within a couple years of 2000. So the requirement could have been dropped when Murphy was still a toddler, or it could have been dropped when she was as old as 4 or 5.
