For those who watch Lie to Me: whenever they show the establishing shot of the Lightman Group, they show a really tall, windowy building. I doubt the Lightman Group has the whole building, but I've never seen anyone get out of elevator, IIRC, so does mean they're on the first floor? Thoughts, ideas, theories?

Why is always the little details that trip you up in writing?

Now I'm trying to think if we can see anything out the windows. I've always assumed they're up a few floors -- possibly because the establishing shot looks up at the building, as though we're looking at the second floor. It looks like there's a hallway outside their door, so I'd guess there's an elevator and/or stairs out there.

On the other hand, I'm not sure if they could have gotten the christmas tree into an elevator or up the stairs. So... I think it's up to you, since it hasn't been well established. :)

because the muses find it easier to catch us off-guard with them.

as to the elevators...I'm going to guess that either
- we can thank the God of Coincidence (it just so happens that nobody leaves the elevators when the cameras are on them)

- the elevator nearest the Lightman Group offices, are like the elevator in Big Bang Theory: it doesn't work. (the building's other elevators do)

- Lightman (or Dresden) accidentally did something, and now that elevator doesn't work.
