Pairings: none
Word Count 3,879
Summary: Lestrade sets about cheering up a glum John in the hospital.
Author's notes: Third part of the Visit Series following after Sherlock and Molly's visits.

Knowledge of His Dark Materials is not required. All that's necessary to know is that, in this world, humans' souls live outside of their bodies in the form of animals. There's an excellent primer here.

For reference: Subira (a dwarf mongoose), Tzophiya (a grey lourie), Leala (an otterhound), Benvolio (a river otter).

You're like a drug dealer for crap food )
awanderingbard: (Marvel: Tony Stark is awesome)
Title: One Step Back
Characters: Tony, Demira, Bruce, Nemi, Pepper, Lev
Rating: R (mostly for swearing)
Warnings/Triggers: quite a bit of swearing, a panic attack, a bit of sexual humour, a touch of people feeling sad about themselves
Spoilers: Basic MCU verse ones
Pairings: Tony/Pepper
Word Count 6,642
Summary: A unexpected visit from The Other Guy puts a dent in Operation Friendship, but Tony and Mim make sure it's not a as big a dent as Bruce and Nemi think.
Author's notes: Inspired by several random Science Bro Pinterest posts, which gave me ideas and then daemons got involved. Science Bro epic friendship fic ensued.

Set post IM3, pre Cap 2 and is a sequel to "Baby Steps".

For reference: Demira ("Mim") (a common tailorbird), Nemi (a qinling panda), and Lev (a veiled chameleon).

Knowledge of His Dark Materials is not required. All that's necessary to know is that, in this world, humans' souls live outside of their bodies in the form of animals. There's an excellent primer here.

Title: Visit (Molly)

Rating: R
Warnings/Triggers: recovery from a serious wound, a nosebleed, swearing,
Spoilers: none
Pairings: none
Word Count 2, 690
Summary: Molly brings a bit of gossip to John in hospital and helps him take a walk, while Sherlock acts a little more like himself.
Author's notes: Second part of the Visit Series (I think it's going to be a series now) following after Sherlock's visit.

Taking a bit of a break from my epic Holiday ficcing to clean this up and post it.

Knowledge of His Dark Materials is not required. All that's necessary to know is that, in this world, humans' souls live outside of their bodies in the form of animals. There's an excellent primer here.

For reference: Subira (a dwarf mongoose), Tzophiya (a grey lourie), Duinn (a Japanese flying squirrel), Benvolio (a river otter).

awanderingbard: (SHERLOCK: Sherlock cameo)
Title: Vigil
Characters: Sherlock, Molly, Lestrade, John, Mycroft, daemons
Rating: R
Warnings/Triggers: gunshot wounds, references to lots of blood in a past tense, references to dead parents, bittersweet, a bit angsty
Spoilers:none
Pairings: none
Word Count 3,767
Summary: Sherlock waits for John to live or die, and learns what it's like to be the one waiting instead of the one being waited for.
Author's notes: Sorry about the flurry of daemons stuff of late, I sometimes get in a daemonic mood. I started writing this before Series Three, and so I'm just going to say it's alternate to that, as the stories in this verse are already out of synch with the regular canon. Follows and makes references to Clouds and Ashes.

Knowledge of His Dark Materials is not required. All that's necessary to know is that, in this world, humans' souls live outside of their bodies in the form of animals. There's an excellent primer here.

For reference: Subira (a dwarf mongoose), Tzophiya (a Grey Lourie), Hisoka (a Pallas's Cat), Duinn (a Japanese Flying Squirrel), and Leala (an otterhound).

His heart isn't very big, he's not sure if it can take quite the amount of damage it's been dealt lately. )

Title: Starting Again
Characters: John, Sherlock
Rating: R
Warnings/Triggers: much cursing, a few references to PTSD
Pairings: John/Mary (mentioned)
Spoilers: The Empty Hearse
Word Count 2,389
Summary: John and Sherlock have a heart to heart.
Author's notes: I've seen a few blog posts around about how Sherlock never actually explains to John why he pretended to be dead. I have to confess that I was too involved in the episode to notice until it was pointed out, but now that I've realized that, I decided to give writing a scene where Sherlock explains a go. I'm sure it's been done before, but I thought it would be a good exercise in points of view. I wanted to bridge the gap between where we see their relationship at the end of 'The Empty Hearse' and where it's at by the beginning of 'The Sign of Three'.

As is wont to happen, due to the force of Sherlock's personality, this became more about him than I had originally intended, but I've tried to at least let John be in control of the conversation, and have him stand his ground until he's satisfied.

Can I put out the fire first, or is it urgent? )
awanderingbard: (SHERLOCK: Trio)
Title: A Way Out
Characters: Q, Sherlock, Mycroft, Bond
Rating: R
Warnings/Triggers: language, angst
Pairings: John/Mary (background)
Spoilers: His Last Vow, The Reichenbach Fall, Skyfall
Word Count 2,302
Summary: Q and Sherlock say goodbye. But maybe not forever.
Author's notes: Set in the Trio 'verse.

I'm sorry for my obsessive need to write Sherlock from Q's point of view. I had to get this out of my system, apparently. 90% was written in one sitting. Apologies for any rough patches. Also, apologies for the vague summary, I didn't want to spoil.

Because they are so ingrained in this verse, I'm keeping my Holmes parents my OC ones.

This is relatively angsty, for me. Like, a good eight on the Bard Scale of Angstyness, but probably much lower on a general scale.

Hello, Mr Holmes. I'm the Quartermaster. )

Title: Homecoming
Characters: John, Sherlock, Gladstone
Rating: R (just for swearing)
Warnings/Triggers: swearing, panic attack, a bit of blood
Spoilers: The Reichenbach Fall
Pairings: Two flying references to John/Sarah
Word Count 1,628
Summary: Sherlock Holmes comes home. Neither John nor his dog are particularly welcoming.
Author's notes: I've always been reluctant to do my own version of the big Return, but at this point, I figured that I've AU'd myself so much I might as well go for it.

Follow-up to Strange Flatemates. Technically set in the Abby 'verse.

Please do not release the hound. )

John suddenly finds himself as the main source of support, and possibly a caregiver, to a flatmate who is struggling to do the things he loves most. And Sherlock Holmes has never been the best of patients.
Author's notes:

Last chapter! This one is sort of an epilogue.

We're past the season now, but for those interested in Sherlock's violin selections: Oh Come All Ye Faithful, Ríu Ríu Chíu (couldn't find a pure violin solo, so that's a duet), God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman (starts 4 seconds in)

Violet Hunter is borrowed from the original ACD canon story "The Adventure of the Copper Beeches". I hold out hope that she'll get a kickass interpretation at some point in the series, but for the moment, I've used her to my own ends.
