I remembered from my history class that the Greeks believed that Asclepius would come in the form of a snake and lick your wounds to heal them while you slept, so I thought it worked as a symbol of his doctorness.
Nifty! It worked really well.
I love the concept of a Third Eye. It's one of those things I abuse because it's so cool.
It is cool! And hey, it's canon. Might as well work with what's there!
