I've been working on a kid!fic with them, but the Holmes household has turned into a sort of magical wonderland, in a manic, 'dear God what's happening now?' kind of way. I suppose that might explain Sherlock's perpetual boredom as an adult, though.
If the government was actually run by just the two of them, things would get very efficient but also probably somewhat creepy and Big Brother-ish.
This is true. Q would just automate everything and Mycroft would sit in a room and make slight adjustments.
The ratio of "Q in fic" to "Q in Skyfall" is pretty overwhelming. People were ficcing based on the trailer. THE TRAILER.
The casting people knew what they were doing. They were very, very smart.
