To tell you the truth, I had no experience with newborns until I had my own. I do have a younger brother, but I was young enough myself that I think I wasn't allowed to do much with him until he was a few or several weeks old, and I don't even remember him being a newborn (with one exception, and I didn't touch him in that memory). I never babysat kids of any age.
