How wonderful, my favourite Molly is back! It's great to see her interact with everybody else who's been affected by Sherlock's death. She's doing an amazing job of being herself and lying gently.
I really love your realism in all those splendid little details, such as: I kept the receipt, if you don't like it. I've never thought about it, but I think that Molly is just the sort of person to keep the receipt when she buys a gift. It's one of those little everyday actions that rarely make it into fiction, but which make stories so much richer once they're included.
Molly didn't know what to do. What did you say in this sort of situation? It was like something out of an old spy movie. This sort of thing didn't happen in real life. Thank you for mentioning this. It should be common knowledge, but it appears that it isn't. :)
