You must be, because I was thinking similar things Or we're both not making sense. I was thinking about kids who learn two languages at once, which I think would be a similar thing. 'This is a tree but sometimes it's an arbre, but we only say it's an arbre when we're using these other sets of words'.
I think your theory is perfectly sound. And I also think Father Holmes, having discovered that he can keep the older boys in line with this method, would start as early as possible with the younger one.
