I'm starting to worry that when I finally get to Skyfall, I will be disappointed in Q because he will be less than you have made him! And I do mean "finally." Brilliant Husband has now announced that I really need to see Quantum of Solace and Casino Royale before I can watch Skyfall. I should have just gone with him to the theater!
Oh noes and yay? I mean, at least you'll get to see it. But I don't think you need the first two to be aware of what's happening. You'll get some Bond backstory but nothing carries over to Skyfall. And just be aware, I'm sure BH will warn you, that Casino Royale is quite violent in a gritty way. I wasn't sure, rereading this morning, if you were upset by violence or just felt that there was too much of it. CR has a mild-to-moderate torture scene in it, too.
joonscribble and I were talking about how we're on the other end of things; we're going to be disappointed when there's no Q in Series Three of Sherlock. I've AU'd myself so much I keep forgetting what I've made up!
