Yay! This is my first time writing any lengthy Morgan appearance. I'm glad I pulled it off and that you enjoyed him. I was trying to strike a balance between him doing his job but not necessarily being a total prick about it.
And Jake. I really like this original character you've created.
Thank you! I'm kind of fond of him myself. I like writing original characters. It's nice to have someone with whom you can play around with, aside from canons who all have their set ways of acting. Also, I felt like, if you didn't care about Jake, the seriousness of the situation wouldn't work. It has to be obvious what a tragedy it is to lose this guy in order for the ticking clock aspect to work. I think. :-)
...and there's a great shot of relevance in your fic by it not being completely populated by pretty white people ala some show on the WB...
