I really enjoyed this outtake! Violet is very much what Sherlock needs, but of course John tends to feel protective.

I was very sad to lose this chapter, more so than the other two, because you made a note when you were betaing about Violet not feeling like she had a place in the story (at least until I sent you the rest of the story), and this was her purpose, aside from providing advice to John when Sherlock has his breakdown. But these chapters serve nothing other than to provide information on how hard it is for Sherlock to do his job, and I felt like I could do that in fewer words. Especially since this mystery has no long term effects on the story.
