I couldn't tell if that was meant to poke at the Q theory, or to reference the scholarly theory of there having to be another brother to be at home minding the squire seat while Mycroft and Holmes were in London being badasses.
Knowing Moffat, it's the former.
I've see Tom fancast as the brother, though.
So another actor who looks nothing like BC or Gatiss playing their brother?
