1) Dylan writes for the local newspaper in Sheffield. He'd like to do more investigative reporting but he usually ends up stuck with the paranormal/spiritual articles. So far, he has broken 3 photocopiers, two laptops and a coffee machine at the office. 2) He didn't tell Katrina about the magic stuff until after she agreed to marry him. Turns out, she'd already figured it out on her own. 3) The shield knot pendant Graylin wears is from a keychain Dylan brought back from a trip to Ireland for Tamsin. She turned it into a ward for Graylin. Also, all three Cartwright children have similar foci given to them as gifts - Tamsin had a pentacle flower necklace, Jordanna has a simple triquetra and Dylan has a ring of pentacles that he wears on his thumb.
