Is there canon on exactly when a person's daemon takes an actual form? Is it when they're first born it appears as an animal of some sort or is it formless until the baby is a little older? Because how would an infant even know what an animal is if it's so young? The world is basically blobs until you're a little old enough to distinguish certain shapes and sounds.
I'd imagine a deaf person would settle into a daemon with fingers. Unless they also communicate by the daemon writing/scratching out words?
