Sam wasn't even going to be there, but Steve plus oned for him, so I was like 'okay, come on then, it's not like I don't have eight other characters to write in this thing'.
I'm tempted to have Sam say this in my fic now to Steve. "Man, even the happy things make you sad!"
I can totally hear him saying that exact thing, actually.
