The dog emerging victorious from the composter with a bagel is amazing! My sister-in-law's dog found baked goods repeatedly on walks—a baguette here, a bagel there. How do you even find a baguette out in the street? Still not sure.
Our same silly boy who fell out the window discovered that he could get through the back of drawers under Progeny's sink, which gave us a scare a few times until we figured out what he was doing. He was not a smart cat on the whole, but he was a genius at getting into things. He was also pretty good at getting out.
Once I got out the rum to add a little to the black beans we were making for dinner. I put it back and closed the cabinet. Doofus got very upset and kept making noise at the cabinet. We finally discovered that Phantom must have crept in and out of sight in the moment it was open. She was relieved to be out, but she never thanked Doofus, who remained her mortal enemy for the rest of his life! He became quite fond of her, but she hated him.
