Actually, Terrance wasn't yet cast when the pilot was made and someone else did the voice. The voiceover by Terrence is something that was done later on, probably during season 1 production when they were trying to cut down the episode for use as episode 8.
In fact, it must be stated that to label this as the 'unaired pilot' is a bit of a misnomer by Lionsgate as most of the B&W flashbacks were filmed long after the original pilot was in the can and were, obviously, intended for later episodes.
I made this list when I was composing a reply for another forum:
a) Terrence Mann's voice - he had not yet been cast when the original pilot was filmed... and it sounds like his voiceovers were 'phoned in', like he's reading off a page rather than interacting with a live production. He's not as emotive as normal.
b) flashbacks used in here that were originally filmed for "What About Bob" including the ones where you see Terrence standing in the background.
c) flashbacks used in here that are actually from "Bad Blood" including 'modern' scenes like the one where Bianca and Harry are in the white trash vampires apartment and he has to zap her with his stick after she was under the influence of 3rd eye.
d) a multitude of random shots that come from Birds of A Feather, The Boone Identity, Soul Beneficiary, Things That Go Bump, etc..
e) The actor cast as Justin Morningway for the series is NOT the original actor that was cast in the pilot's original flashbacks.
More or less, anything that was displayed as a flashback or quick cut is questionable. :-)
It seems to me that they took the salvageable footage from the original pilot and then padded it out with newer footage in order to make something long enough to pass for 2 hours with commercials.
