This was so much fun to read. Really. The banter was in character and all kinds of awesome. The dialogue was quite well crafted and the pacing was perfect.
You know, even before I clicked the link, I had a very strong feeling that the literature in question would be P&P (which is not a bad thing, as I completely adore it.) Typically, I don’t like when it is mention in stories, but you blended the references in just wonderfully and each one made me smile. (YAY for obvious knowledge and love of the book! I hate when writers try to mention P&P, due to its popularity, but seem to little knowledge of the book itself.)
“I’m not running off to Gretna Green with you,” Pepper told him, with a smile.
Best line ever. (well, almost ever. At any rate, great line. Made me laugh.)
There were so many wonderful little touches in this, like the pen sculpture and Tony’s interpretation of Regency era speak. (10,000 a year and such)
So yes, all in all, great story. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Thank you. :)
