awanderingbard: (MCU: Peggy)
Title: Ships in the Night
Characters: Angie, Peggy, Bond, Jarvis, Sousa
Rating: PG
Warnings/Triggers: some violence, lots of sexual badinage, quite a lot of female gaze
Spoilers: Oblique references to Skyfall, general spoilers for Agent Carter Season One
Pairings: heavy Angie/Bond flirting
Word Count 9,142
Summary: Angie is given care of a cute drugged British spy that Peggy brings home, and has a little adventure along the way.
Author's notes: This is one of the less weird results of the crossover memes [livejournal.com profile] joonscribble and I did a while back. Her memes kept throwing Angie and James Bond together, and we both decided that sounded like an interesting concept. So, I wrote a story.

The characters refused to do what I originally had planned, and it went slightly odd on me. I hope it's okay. This is also the longest I've ever tried to sustain a Bond voice, and he's very finicky. I hope he's all right as well.

To help my brain, I've simply placed the James Bond universe in the 1940s, rather than involving time travel. I've done my best to patch it over to work. This story takes place post-Skyfall.

Title: Jack of All Trades (Part Two)
Characters: Edwin Jarvis, Tony Stark, Howard Stark, Peggy Carter, Anna Jarvis, daemons
Rating: PG-13
Warnings/Triggers: swearing, references to alcoholism, factory accidents (very mild references to wounds)
Spoilers: Generalized for the Stark family's backstory in the MCU
Pairings: Jarvis/Anna, Howard/Maria, Peggy/Her Husband
Word Count 6,751
Summary: A factory accident, a medical conference, and an 'indisposed' nanny adds child-minding to Jarvis' list of professions for the day. Thankfully, he gets a little help here and there.
Author's notes: This is Part Two. Part One can be found: here.

Title: Jack of All Trades (Part One)
Characters: Edwin Jarvis, Tony Stark, Howard Stark, Peggy Carter, Anna Jarvis, daemons
Rating: PG-13
Warnings/Triggers: swearing, references to alcoholism, factory accidents (very mild references to wounds)
Spoilers: Generalized for the Stark family's backstory in the MCU
Pairings: Jarvis/Anna, Howard/Maria, Peggy/Her Husband
Word Count 5, 753
Summary: A factory accident, a medical conference, and an 'indisposed' nanny adds child-minding to Jarvis' list of professions for the day as Master Tony is placed in his care. Thankfully, he gets a little help here and there.
Author's notes: This is long. Everything I write lately is long. I'm sorry everything is so long. It's one story, but it's had to be split in two due to length.

Set in December of 1972 (I started it so long ago, I can't remember why I was that specific, but I was, apparently). Tony is about two-and-a-half.

Knowledge of His Dark Materials is not required. All that's necessary to know is that, in this world, humans' souls live outside of their bodies in the form of animals. There's an excellent primer here.

The characters of Dejeni, Takeo, and Tomor (mentioned but not appearing) belong to [livejournal.com profile] joonscribble. Our custody arrangement allows for the borrowing of them.

For reference: Haddie (a Welsh Springer Spaniel), Dejeni (a raccoon), Takeo (a spotted hyena), Hesper (a silkmoth), Hoggan (a kinkajou)

Mentioned by not appearing onscreen: Carmel (a rose-breasted grosbeak), Prydery (a koala), and Tomor (an otter)

Warnings/Triggers: swearing, some discussion of sad things, lots of sex and innuendo (nothing explicit)
Spoilers: Nothing specific, but generalized for various backstories of the characters involved
Pairings: Howard/Maria
Word Count 3,701
Summary: When the press starts to close in on Howard and Maria's new relationship, Howard whisks Maria off to Paris see if he can convince her to stick around.
Author's notes: Last part! Sorry about the delay. This chapter is from Jarvis' POV, as he seemed to the best person to finish it off. Thanks for reading!

Author's notes: The lindy hop that Howard and Maria do here probably looks something like this, though not quite as elaborate. I'm not sure if the move names would have been used during Howard's day, or if they were invented to describe them when the lindy revival in the 80's happened, but to make things easier, he's using the move names. A 'sidecar' looks like this, for reference.

Summary: When the press starts to close in on Howard and Maria's new relationship, Howard whisks Maria off to Paris see if he can convince her to stick around.
Author's notes: This is one of those stories that started out small, and got bigger. I was originally going to have it in three parts, but then it went to four parts, and then those four parts were best split into two, so I think it will be 6-7 parts over all.

Remember when I used to write short things? Me either.

A lot of headcanon in this, especially in regards to Maria. Set in 1965. Howard is mid forties, Jarvis somewhere in that area, and Maria is in her late twenties. It follows Memory Lapse, but doesn't reference it.

The parts alternate between Howard and Maria's POV. Howard starts off.

Warnings/Triggers: alcohol use, references to antisemitism, swearing, era appropriate but not necessarily PC views and terms

Pairings: Jarvis/Anna
Word Count 5,329
Summary: Edwin Jarvis arrives in America to start a new life, with a new wife, in New York, and attempts to find his footing with a very interesting new employer.
Author's notes: I was really interested in doing something about the first days of Jarvis working for Howard, and his adjustment period then. It's basically all headcanon, but I've tried to fold in what we know from the MCU. I've also tried very hard to keep it historically accurate, and canon to the MCU timeline, but that is a very fuzzy timeline, so I've tried to make as much sense of it as I could. I've set it in June 1941, as that seemed the most likely given events of that year both real and fictional.

When I started writing, there wasn't a Series Two for Agent Carter announced, and this very well may be AU'd into oblivion, but I'd written too much by that point, so I'm going with it.

Thanks as always to [livejournal.com profile] joonscribble for her headcanon thoughts and nattering with me.

Also apologies for my Hungarian. I did my best with an extremely complicated language.

Title: Like Father, Like Son (1/2)
Characters: Tony Stark, Howard Stark, brief Edwin Jarvis
Rating: PG-13
Warnings/Triggers: swearing, blood, sutures, impaled objects
Spoilers: None
Pairings: References to Howard/Maria and Jarvis/Anna
Word Count 3,399
Summary: Tony makes a stupid mistake on a project that results in an ER trip, and proves that Stark genetics really do run deep.
Author's notes: Sorry for all the hospital fics of late. I think I've hit the hurt/comfort stage of 'enthusiastic fandom adoption'.

This is the first part, the second part is from Howard's POV, and can be found here.

Tony is around thirteen here, so Howard is in his 60's, and the year is somewhere around 1983.

Title: A Good Thing
Characters: Edwin Jarvis, Anna Jarvis, Peggy Carter, Howard Stark, Angie Martinelli
Rating: PG
Warnings/Triggers: people with injuries, Howard being Howard
Spoilers: Rather extensive ones for Agent Carter
Pairings: Jarvis/Anna
Word Count 6,874
Summary: Jarvis wakes up in hospital, and is visited by the important people in his life, whom he also gets to acquaint with one another.
Author's notes: This is a sequel to A Nice Chat. and A Little Help. Originally this section was going to be from Howard's POV, but he was not cooperating at all, so Jarvis decided to take over. And I think, despite not knowing this was going be in three parts when I started the first one, I've managed to get the story to come full circle and set everything up that I wanted to do.

Due to the change in narrator, Anna ended up having a much, much bigger role than I planned, but I figure if you're gonna OC, you might as well OC whole hog. Thanks very much to [livejournal.com profile] joonscribble for letting me natter at her and giving me some good headcanon to work with.

Once again, this story won't make much sense if you haven't read the first two parts.

ExpandNow I can scold you properly, yes? )
awanderingbard: (MCU: Howard Stark)
Title: A Little Help
Characters: Daniel Sousa, Howard Stark, Peggy Carter
Rating: PG-13
Warnings/Triggers: swearing, a murder, blood, discussion of war wounds (including amputations), Howard Stark being Howard Stark
Spoilers: Basic ones for Agent Carter
Pairings: Flying reference to Jarvis/Anna, some Sousa/Peggy (attraction on Sousa's part, Peggy's POV isn't explored here)
Word Count 6,393 words
Summary: Sousa and Howard team up to find Peggy and Jarvis, and Sousa and Peggy both learn about accepting help when it's offered.
Author's notes: This is a companion/sequel to A Nice Chat. When I was writing it, I suddenly wanted to see how Howard and Sousa would get on working together. As usual, it went a different direction than how I thought it would.

The story won't make a lot of sense if you haven't read the previous one, as I purposely left out details and skipped over parts that I would have been retreading. This story happens concurrently and after that one.

There might be a third part with Howard, but we'll see how that goes. Backstory included is mostly speculative. Did my best with planes and Geography, but artistic license will probably have to be invoked.

Title: A Nice Chat
Characters: Peggy Carter, Edwin Jarvis, Daniel Sousa, Howard Stark
Rating: PG-13
Warnings/Triggers: explosions, some blood and injuries, being in a confined space, some era-appropriate terms and views
Spoilers: Basic ones for Agent Carter, but no big plot spoilers
Pairings: Jarvis/Anna
Word Count 8,512 words
Summary: Peggy and Jarvis find themselves trapped and injured during an investigation, but it gives them plenty of time to chat as they wait for help to arrive.
Author's notes: I wanted to do something with Peggy and Jarvis being bros, and my word fairy continues her attempt to stretch the limits of LJ's entry word limit. Jarvis and Peggy both refused to freak out, so I ended up with less tense drama that I originally envisioned, and more bonding friendship.

Most of the backstory here is conjecture on my part, especially for Jarvis, but some of Peggy's comes from the expanded universe canon.

This is set a few months after the end of the mini-series, and I'm operating on the assumption that Peggy is still with the SSR for now.

First Aid here is both situation and era-appropriate but should not be attempted in real life.

Warnings for quite extensive spoilers for the Agatha Christie story Murder on the Links.

Sorry about the coding error, earlier. The story is no longer entirely in italics!
