Two shortish reviews because I missed commenting last week.

The Secret Sharer

- I liked this episode a lot because it mostly made sense and was well done and didn't leave me going "wait, what?"
- And also Gwaine did shit instead of standing around eating.
- And Aggravaine talking his way out of the situation finally showed why he s getting away with everything, because he at least managed to show some cunning.
- And Morgana got her ass kicked, which always pleases me.

Lamia

- OMG, Percival can talk!
- Gaius putting his faith in Merlin was very sweet. Even if he had no basis for it. Seriously, I love Merlin and all, but the man is terrible at getting anything done.
- Hooray for the knights getting to act and do things and contribute to the plot.
- Also hooray for the bad thing not being one of Morgana's inept plots.
- I don't want bad!Lancelot next week. :(

Percival doesn't have a lot to say in most episodes, does he? (Not that I care *sighs happily*) Lamia was really well done for the way the knights slowly twisted how they treated each other and Merlin and Gwen, there have been some great h/c episode tags to it. And yes, it was nice to see someone/something other than Morgana be the baddie.

Merlin's broken little "he wouldn't leave without saying goodbye to me" in "Secret Sharer" was incredible. When given the proper setting Colin's amazing. And Gwaine! *hearts him* Sometimes I get the feeling he's in Camelot more for Merlin than Arthur.

I thought the Lamia herself was well done too. She was quiet and creepy and not overtly sexual or over the top. Just a quiet menace.

Yeah, I don't always get the impression Gwaine thinks of himself as a knight. More one of the lads, who happens to be a good fighter. I think he likes hanging out with Merlin where he doesn't have to be so knightly all the time. Not that he tries to be knightly the rest of the time. :-p

Secret Sharer has one of my favorite endings for a Merlin episode ever!

I really, really enjoyed the episode on the whole. I thought everyone did a great job and Gaius was put to good use. I really liked the ending too and I like that Aggravaine managed to bring everyone closer together by forcing them apart. It showed everyone what they all meant to each other. I have an awful feeling this is all leading up to killing Gaius off, but am enjoying his relationship with Merlin in the meantime. I like that he has more faith in him and Merlin doesn't hesitate to go after him.
