I think I have a few fellow migraine sufferers on my flist, so I have question. Does anyone else get a fever with their migraine? Because I have one of 37.5 (99.5 in Yankee) and I'm trying to figure out if it's part of the migraine or if I have the migraine because of the fever. It otherwise seemed to follow the migraine pattern for me: panic attacks --> severe, room spinning dizziness --> shakey knees + chills --> pain.

There seems to be a general consensus on my Google research that it's common to have a fever and migraine, so I'm curious as to your experiences.

In other news, severe, room spinning dizziness is highly counter productive to writing stories. :(

They're usually connected for me, but I don't know which one causes the other. If any one of them does.

I can't tell which is causing which. I feel fluey, but that all goes with migraines too, so who knows? It's the right time of the month for migraines, but my mum was fluey recently, so it could be that I've caught that.

*hugs very gently* I sometimes feel like I have a fever when I have a migraine, but usually don't. Although sometimes (TMI alert) my temperature goes up when I'm having my period and I have migraines then, too. But I think the fever is related to the period rather than the migraine. I hope you feel better very, very soon.

Yeah, my migraines are definitely hormonal related for the most part, so I can't tell if I'm fluey or premenstrual. I just have the pain and the nausea now, the spinny had stopped and that's the worst part for me. The spinny is scary, the rest is just annoying,

Thanks for the hug. I may need your blanket fort at some point. Is it still open to guests?

The blanket fort is always open, and you are always welcome there!

I know it can happen, though it never has for me. I don't think? On reflection, I do get chills and have never actually thought to take my temperature... If you've never had fever with a migraine before, though, my guess is that you have the same bug your mom did.

*pats gently*

nobody's ever checked my forehead, so I don't know...then again, nobody's ever said when my headaches become migranes. I do feel kinda warm during some headaches, though.

wish I could be of more help; sorry.

I hope you feel better soon, and I hope the room stops spinning. (or at least becomes fun instead of severe)
