Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?
Oh, God, loads more! Last year I was in a huge dry spell and was lamenting that I would never write again. Then Sherlock Series Two happened and away I went. I was not expecting that at all. Goes to show what a little inspiration and some improvement in your health can do.

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2012?
Um... oh! Probably The Great Mouse Detective. I put the plot bunny out there as a joke and then three thousand words later.... Also wrote some very angsty things, which I've never done before. I blame Mofftis, though I have to confess I wasn't as affected by Reichenbach as other people I've seen.

What's your favorite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest?
"The Parting of Ways". The response was good, but not as great as other stories, but I struggled with that one for ages and I'm very pleased with how it turned out in the end.

What's your least favorite story of the year, regardless of the reviews it got (or didn't get)?
I don't think I even have one. I'm pretty pleased with everything and anything I managed to get out there. Maybe "Sometimes". I really loved the picture prompt I was using and I'm not sure if the story matched up to it.

Did you take any writing risks this year? (See above for unexpected pairings, etc.) What did you learn from them?
I guess "An Extended Stay" was a slight risk, given that it has Molly/Sherlock undertones to it and is essentially a bottle story: two characters, one location, 9700 words. I'm immensely pleased with it, though. I've gotten a great response on FF.net, though elsewhere it has been more or less ignored.

Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year?
Get my aphasia story out there when it's ready and finish up my [livejournal.com profile] occhallenge table. I'm getting closer!

Thanks to everyone who commented and supported my writing this year, I love you all! I hope I can continue to keep you entertained in the New Year.
