I'd forgotten about the Holmesian scholar theory that Nero Wolfe is the son of Holmes and Irene Adler. I stumbled on to some seriously cute fanart of BBC Sherlock and Irene with baby Nero on tumblr. No wonder he grew up to be so agoraphobic and anal. He was raised by the two most irresponsible parents ever. :-p

But, it did made me ponder what Wolfe and Archie would be like in modern times. They're immortal after all. They never aged in the books, no matter what era they were in. I can just picture Archie trying to teach Wolfe how to send an e-mail or use a mobile phone, and Wolfe storming up to the orchid room where it's safe and technology free.

Can just imagine Archie weighing the pros and cons of telling Wolfe he can edit anything himself on Wikipedia.

And in the end just deciding to pretend to know nothing about how it works, and relinquishing responsibility of unleashing Wolfe's vicious love of grammar onto the World Wide Web. And deciding to never let him near Twitter.

Aww, I can just picturing him looking at the layout for places Archie is going and declaring that the hills are too steep to drive on in this weather and he really should stay home.

Fritz and Mrs. Hudson would get along smashingly, I hope...or they'd kill each other. (hoping not)

(and modern Holmes is descended from either Wolf or Archie? (on the other hand, if Archie is Joan's dad...))
