Made myself a Trio 'verse icon. *points* I made one without text, too, if anyone wants it:

Feel free to edit as you will.
Also dabbling in a new journal layout. Yes/no? Is it okay to read on?

Date: 2013-08-25 12:46 am (UTC)I've had my old one for ages, but I've never found anything I liked more than it until now. I think this one is very elegant and easy to read. Thanks for your two cents!

Date: 2013-08-25 12:46 am (UTC)I think Q is kind of adorable all on his own. I should probably see that movie. (I've just been having a hard time with the levels of violence in some movies lately. Well, since I had a child.)

Date: 2013-08-25 12:53 am (UTC)I have a lot of trouble with violence in movies, and I found Skyfall okay. I'm trying to think of anything overtly distressing...there's a lot of running and hand-to-hand combat. A few gunfights. There is quite a large battle scene at the end of the movie, with a good deal of machine guns and explosions, but nothing very graphic. The most disturbing thing I can think of isn't actually violence, but the after effects of something that happened to the villain (we don't see it happening) and scarred him. His story is a bit disturbing, and there is a prolonged shot of his face where you can see...it's hard to explain without spoiling. It's gross, basically, but we don't ever seen it again, and I could give you a cue for when to look way if need be.
It will largely depend on what your brand of distressing is. I have trouble with suffering more than blood or gore. Aside from the scene above, there is no suffering. Just a few gunshot wounds, and a bit of blood.

Date: 2013-08-25 12:56 am (UTC)I watch superhero movies like The Avengers and Ironman 3, which are probably worse, but I find myself wishing some scenes were a lot shorter, and sometimes wishing I hadn't gone. But he likes to see movies with me, and we've gone to movies together since our first date.
We should put it on the Netflix list, and maybe move it up a ways—because right now, it would be something over 300 if we just added it at the end.

Date: 2013-08-25 01:01 am (UTC)(ETA: I asked for spoilers because I was reading crossover fics about it; they weren't unwanted spoilers.)
Hehe! My dad and brother saw it in theatres and came home. The first thing he said through the door was 'They've killed [spoiler]!'
