It has been officially been confirmed that, contrary to previously thought, there will be another series of (Inspector) Lewis. There are spoilers for the premise in that article, as a warning. Nothing too earth shattering, but some character stuff.
I'm not sure what convinced them to change their minds, as they ended last series seemingly wrapping up everything. I'm glad they have, though, as I rather enjoy my Hathaway and Lewis snark.
It looks like a long wait before we'll get it here, but I am pleased, nonetheless.

Date: 2014-02-13 01:57 am (UTC)If they were setting up a spin off, I'd have thought they'd do a one shot- one two hour special kind of thing would work well for that, not the 6 episodes they are apparently doing. Not that I'm upset we're getting more though :)

Date: 2014-02-13 02:45 am (UTC)I couldn't see the point in nearly having Hathaway entirely out of the episode when it was one of the few he had left. I know it ended up being a plot point, but it just felt as though they were setting Gray up for something,
