Oh that's awesome! I never had the guts (or true desire, really) to come up with a fannish username like that, but it looks great that way!

I change fandom obsessions so frequently that I think I'd be unhappy with anything that specific after awhile. But I like the simplicity of it, and I can't imagine Sherlock bothering to come up with anything else but that as his username, unless he was undercover.

I know what you mean about fannish interests, I had thought briefly about a Jack Harkness related name for a bit, but (luckily) I decided against it since a) a lot are just silly or presumptuous and b) I had a feeling I wouldn't stay soley interested in Jack the entire time I had an LJ, which turned out to be true.

Yeah, even my default icon is no longer relevant now, as I've run out of steam for Dresden Files. Not that I don't still love it, but with nothing new coming at me, I've written everything I can.

I did consider something fannish for my tumblr name, something Cabin Pressurey, because they can be vague but lovely (otterykisses, yellowcar, lookatmyarmlookatmyhat), but I couldn't find one I liked that wasn't already taken. And also, you can change your tumblr name with impunity, but you have to pay to have a new LJ name. Better stay neturalish.

Same here with Jack. I still revisit him on occasion, but....

I appreciate that it's easier to change tumblr names, but some people change theirs so often there are times I look at someone I am following and can't figure out why or if I know them or what.

Hee! There was a joke on tumblr going around during the Hiatus about Sherlock and it went something like:

Molly: Don't you think it's dangerous? Won't Mycroft be able to find you?
Sherlock: He'll never find me. I'm going to change my username and my icon.
