I was watching Once Upon a Time tonight, and Christopher Gorham appeared on screen, and for a moment, I thought he was Ben Whishaw. It turns out, he used to be even more Q-esque.

I think the Holmes family have enough sons, but if they're looking for a cousin or something...

I never watched Once Upon a Time, but Christopher Gorham has been in a number of shows I've liked. Covert Affairs, which airs over the summers here and is on S4 or 5 I think and he was one Jake 2.0, a show which only lasted a season and aired a decade or so ago.

He was in Harper's Island, as well, which I watched for...two episodes? Then it got too grim for me. I knew he was on Covert Affairs, but I haven't seen it myself. We don't get the network its on here, and the one that does show it always airs those shows at really odd times. He's got a great smile, and I seem to remember watching him being interviewed on Craig Ferguson once and being really lovely.

I forgot about Harper's Island, yeah, it was too dark for me too. Not my cup of tea at all.

Covert Affairs was really good in the early seasons, I gave up on it this most recent one. It was on as the same time as something else and I meant to catch up and watch the episodes later and I just never cared enough to bother.

I have a lot of respect for Christopher though, his character on Covert Affairs is blind (due to a special forces combat injury) and he's done (and continues to do) a LOT of work to make sure he portrays the character accurately and uses his fame to raise money and awareness for a lot of blind/wounded vet causes.

Oh, that's super cool. I love it when actors take the time to do it right, and use their position for good.

It's really great- he's always tweeting links to things and he's donated a bunch of show related stuff like signed scripts and stuff to auctions for the blind organization he works with (I can't remember it's name off the top of my head, I think it's one for the province that Covert Affairs films in) and he's done PSAs too.
