It's inviting possible hugs and cuddles but it may also injure you a bit. I can totally picture it waddling next to him during film premieres. Looking squishable...and dangerous.

And meanwhile Hiddleston's little meerkat daemon is going 'HI, do you want to be friends?' while his publicist is all 'come on, stop talking to strangers!'. And Cumberbatch's otter gives very thoughtful, long, eloquent answers and then photobombs a celebrity.

Does this mean someone or Fassbender himself would have to wheel around a little tank that contains his shark daemon? Or since it's not an actual shark he can sort of...carry it with him? I am vaguely amused by him having an assistant whose sole job is to push around a tank with his daemon inside.

Well, in the books, if you have a dolphin daemon, you have to live near the sea. Which should be fine, as the reason it's a dolphin is because you love living near the sea. I have an idea in my daemon!verse that those with fish daemons have tank backpacks they can carry around, but I don't know about sharks. Maybe a little shark? Cookiecutter sharks are only two feet long and have the most terrifying jaws, OMG, *aborts Googling*.

So yeah, he could just have a nice Dolce & Gabana tuxedo tank for premieres and stuff.

I just googled a cookie cutter shark and OMG they are frightening looking! Compared to them a regular shark looks downright friendly.

So...I'm going to assume you've thought about what daemon each avenger would have, right?

Erm...not all of them... Just Steve and Loki, really. I wrote a little fic for Steve and Issie for the consci_fan_mo last year, but never crossposted it. It is here (http://consci-fan-mo.livejournal.com/135708.html). And I think we decided on a caracal for Loki.

I'm always really bummed that females of the species aren't as brightly coloured, because giving Tony something like a peacock would be perfect, but peahens don't have tails. Hawkeye would need a bird of prey of some sort.

Damn you, now I'm going to have to think about this!

Hmmm...I can sort of see Tony having a more plain colored bird like a peahen or a female mandarin duck but then have her constantly rubbing her feathers on chalk or juices to color her feathers. You know...because it's Tony's daemon.

I imagine Natasha's being a large snake of some sort. Really beautiful, long, colorful scaly body that can probably crush you.

Hee! Asking JARVIS to help her put her make-up on because she's going out and doesn't have opposable thumbs. I have an idea that his daemon might have changed form after he was kidnapped. He had a major change of heart there, I wonder if she might have reflected that. Gone in sort of a playboy daemon and come out more like a warrior daemon.

I think Fury would have a panther. And Coulson would have something mild-mannered but deadly. I don't know if Thor would have an Earth animal or a strange Asgardian beast. And Bruce's daemon would presumably Hulk out with him. Turn into a green bear or something, but be quite small and serious otherwise.

Can daemons change after it settles? It makes sense that it can after a traumatic event....this just gives me fic ideas for a Winter Soldier DaemonsAU. Dammit!

I haven't watched any Agents of SHIELD but based on the films, I can see Coulson's being perhaps a Rottweiler or a German Shepard: loyal, docile when at rest but vicious when needed.

Turn into a green bear or something, but be quite small and serious otherwise.

Mark Ruffalo already looks like a teddy bear of sorts so perhaps some sort of passive bear. Like a panda. They're herbivores. But it turns into a grizzly when he hulks out?

I didn't make it very far into Agents either, but a dog makes sense for Coulson. Especially since they're 'servant' daemons, and Coulson is servant of justice. And maybe, his daemon wanted to be a little like Cap's daemon, too.
