*Googles more.*
*Googles more, and starts translating into other languages.*
*Breaks out hardcore naming materials*
*Gets distracted by Icelandic sheepdog's historical names based on fur patterns*
*Remembers dog in story is a Golden Lab, and doesn't have fur patterns*
*Learns about wildflowers.*
*Googles for two hours.
My brain:...how about Goldie?
Me: *sighs*

This is me too, but adding in forgetting what the heck I was looking up half the time.Brains can be so silly!

Research is my favourite part of story writing. Learning new things is my favourite part of life. But when I'm trying to actually learn a specific thing or do a specific thing and all these other things are desperate to get involved, it becomes very frustrating.

I still don't have a name for the dog. But it did take me, like, a week to name a cat for a story once, so maybe I just have a problem naming animals.
