I saw this list of suggestions for 'important headcanons to consider' on a tumblr blog and I said to myself, 'I can make a meme out of this!'. And I did. I replaced a couple of questions with different ones that were a little more deep than the orignal ones.

Give me the name of a character I write or have written, and I'll tell you:

- what's their favourite item of clothing/jewelry
- what do they do when they can't sleep
- what would they impulse buy at the grocery store
- what kind of comments did they get on their school report cards
- what’s their coffee order
- what sort of apps would they have on their smartphone
- how do they act around children
- what would they watch on tv when they’re bored and nothing they really like is on

OCs and AU versions are welcome as always.

Putting this here to make it quicker for me to reply:

Of course!

Q
what's their favourite item of clothing/jewellery: He has a rather nice sky blue jumper that Mummy gave him for his birthday one year. He wears it when he's feeling positive about life, and the Q-branch minions are aware of this. They're always much more relaxed on blue jumper days.
what do they do when they can't sleep: Sometimes he works on his tablet or laptop until he feels sleepy enough to try again, but often he gets up and plays piano to The Cat for a little bit. That usually does the trick, both for him, and The Cat.
what would they impulse buy at the grocery store: The fact that Q does most of his shopping online and has it delivered cuts down on impulse buys, but when he actually enters a shop, there's about a 99% chance he will come out with a banoffee pie or a treacle tart. He has a very strong sweet tooth.
what kind of comments did they get on their school report cards: "Trevelyan is a very intelligent boy, and a very hard worker. He reads well above his year, and shows strong understanding of maths and sciences," was always very common. As was mentioning that he was shy and reluctant to participate in class discussions. One teacher ventured a theory that there might be an older sibling at home that was prone to drawing attention and Trevelyan might benefit if that sibling encouraged Trevelyan to voice his thoughts. For the record, that sibling never did encourage him to do that, but he did get the hang of making himself heard eventually.
what’s their coffee order: Q doesn't drink coffee very often, he'd much prefer a strong cup of tea. He takes milk and three sugars in his tea, and four sugars in his coffee, which he prefers to be chocolate or caramel or vanilla flavoured. His tea must never be anything but tea flavoured, though. That's sacrilege.
what sort of apps would they have on their smartphone: The question is what sort of apps Q doesn't have on his phone. The one he uses most often is synced with his flat so that he could turn lights on and off, or the telly on and off, or change the temperature or turn the kettle on, or basically do anything that one does with a switch. And he can do it from anywhere in the flat, which saves a lot of moving around.
how do they act around children: Q is actually quite good with small children. He's prone to speak to them like adults, which they enjoy, but can also be a little silly. He doesn't have a great opportunity to spend time with any children, but on the rare occasion he's sat next to one on the tube or bus, he can keep up a lively conversation and show them apps to play with. Provided their parents or guardians allow it, of course. He doesn't initiate interaction, but children do often seem to approach him.
what would they watch on tv when they’re bored and nothing they really like is on:
Q doesn't watch a lot of telly in general, and anything he puts on would be something he was watching out of boredom. He would probably just put the news on if he needed some background noise. He might watch Antiques Roadshow. He gets some fun out of Googling the items as they show up on screen and trying to ascertain their value before it's revealed. He has to be quite desperate for that urge, though. He'd probably just read a book instead.

Thank you very much, I enjoyed reading this a lot. I especially liked the bit about how Q is good around children and treats them as adults. The children must love him for that!
